Kingsbridge's very own DJ collective, playing block-rocking beats at a party for no particular reason near you
Meet the Kingsbridge DJ Collective
The founding father of the KDJ Collective, none other than Phil Robinson AKA DJ HipOperation AKA The Funksoulbrother
A rare opportunity to witness this world-renowned DJ who is more used to playing in his own kitchen and the occasional lounge! His turntable skills really are second to everyone.
The Funksoulbrother’s knowledge of funk and soul is legendarily poor, he just likes the moniker, but he does at least have a brother!

Yiuie
Yiuwin aka Yiuie aka one half of the now defunct SMB Sound System
Forged in the dankest clubs of Manchester then Bristol, Yiuwin was stuck in the nostalgia of noughties golden era of Breakbeat, studiously following the likes of The Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors and Krafty Kuts for a while. Nowadays, he plays an eclectic mix of techno, tech house, funky house and breaks.
Still loves a cheeky bootleg breaks remix of some ridiculous tune.
Leftarm
Here he is, another one of The KDJ Collective vinyl spinning local legends, Chris Wrighton Leftarm aka Leftarm. Has two arms and is able to mix records with both, despite the name (don't ask).
A man obsessed with most styles of electronic music from 70s to the present day. Favourite genres include Funk & Soul, Chicago House, Detroit Techno, UK Bass & House, Hardcore, Jungle, and (good) Drum n Bass (i.e. none of that new Jump-Up malarkey ).
Can be heard on Eruption Radio every other Thursday, shamelessly and obsessively rabbiting on about the history of dance music
Simo
SIMO has returned to Devon after more than 20 years in San Francisco. This UK based Producer, DJ and owner of Sleevin Records, developed a taste for big sound systems and driving bass lines in the early 1990’s underground electronic music scene.
Also, one half of the California-based Scratch n Sniff project, SIMO toured summer festivals and played extensively throughout the US from coast to coast while holding monthly residencies at club Anu and Sub Mission Studio in San Francisco.
SIMO’s live sets delight the crowd with elements of Funk, Breaks, Techno, House, Drum n Bass, and Ragga.
Pepe
Pepe’s mainly a traditionalist on vinyl, spent his late teens onwards learning how to cold rock a party with eclectic house, 70s disco funk and 80s popular soul/funk. Loves a party, loves it when you love a party. Party on!
Martin Randall
Martin Randall, widely known by his aliases Randy, Random, House Martin, and Mart, has been immersed in the world of electronic music from a young age. Martin spent two seasons on the White Isle of Ibiza in his early 20s, spinning tunes in bars and clubs across San Antonio.
He continued to make his mark on the London club scene, performing at some of the city’s iconic venues like The Cross, Camden Palace, Pacha, Fire, and Lightbox in Vauxhall, playing deep and tech house. Today, Martin’s musical taste has evolved into a more eclectic mix, encompassing funk, soul, and chill-out vibes alongside his main love of house music. Catch his radio shows on Weekendradio.co.uk and Mixcloud.
Bear
Funky and soulful track selections honed from the years of listening to tunes whilst commuting on the M25 westbound, Bear brings an eclectic range of Motown, hip hop, house, funk, soul, and various electronica. From parties in the wilds of Amersham all the way to the plains of Chesham, you can pick up the trail of the Bear (normally in scraps of handwritten set lists of stone-cold bangers)
